You read that correctly – Coffee. Pasta. We’ve teamed up with Big Lake Pasta to bring you the most delicious and hearty cold brew coffee pasta ever. This dried pasta has the colour and aroma of coffee and all of the heavenly pasta goodness you know and love about Big Lake Pasta. This unique pasta exhibits subtle toffee and caramel notes and pairs exceptionally well with wild game or meat/mushroom based sauces. Coffee Pasta with Mushroom Sauce Recipe:
350g package cold brew coffee pasta
1 yellow onion, diced
2 gloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup butter
6-8 fresh sage leaves, chopped
parmesan cheese, freshly grated
fresh black pepper
- Saute mushrooms, onion, garlic in butter until soft and darkened. Cook pasta as per package instructions. Add a HEALTHY splash of white wine to mushroom mixture along with an equal amount of pasta water. Add parmesan cheese to the sauce, along with chopped sage and pepper. Stir together. Drain pasta and add to sauce. Stir and serve immediately.
